NUST Merit Formula
According to NUST's published merit generation criteria for admission on the NET basis, the aggregate is calculated using:
- NUST Entry Test (NET): 75%
- SSC / O-Level / Equivalent: 10%
- HSSC / A-Level / Equivalent: 15%
Formula
NUST Aggregate =
(NET Percentage × 75%) + (SSC Percentage × 10%) + (HSSC Percentage × 15%)
Example Calculation
Suppose a student has:
- NET Marks: 150 out of 200
- SSC Marks: 950 out of 1100
- HSSC Marks: 950 out of 1100
The estimated aggregate is approximately 77.84%.
NUST Undergraduate Eligibility
NUST states that candidates generally need at least 60% aggregate marks in both SSC and HSSC, or equivalent qualifications according to the applicable equivalence requirements.
Candidates with O/A Level or other foreign qualifications should use the marks from their official IBCC equivalence certificates where required, rather than self-calculated marks.
